One of our Barred Plymouth Rock Bantam hens with chicks. Plymouth Rocks make very good broodies, but the eggs hatch equally well in incubators.

We are by no means large-scale or commercial breeders but we are DEFRA registered breeders and do provide hatching eggs from time to time.

Plymouth Rocks can be very good layers, particularly over the winter months, and as a dual-purpose breed can also offer table potential - ideal as an exhibition or utility breed. Classified as a dual-purpose breed today's birds are hardy, formidable egg or meat producers and extremely capable broodies. Add to this a wonderful temperament, charming character and beauty, availability in large fowl and miniature bantam versions, and a tendency to frequently win major show awards, one can easily see the attraction of Plymouth Rocks.
